The ZZ Plant, or Zamioculcas Zamiifolia (yikes), is a hearty plant that is perfect for first time plant owners, or those who typically have a brown thumb! You can do this! The ZZ is a perfect live accent for your home or office, a gift to say thank you, or a sympathy gift of comfort. 

CARE:

It takes a lot to kill a ZZ plant! They do prefer bright, indirect light, but will survive in low-light conditions. They also do well in fluorescent office lighting if windows are not available. Direct sunlight will cause dried out or scorching of the leaves.

ZZ Plants can survive for months without watering, but will thrive and grow if they are watered regularly. The soil must be allowed to dry out between watering to avoid stem rot. 

TOXICITY: ZZ Plants can be toxic to cats and dogs. The plant contains calcium oxalate crystals, which can cause skin sensitivity. Keep out of reach of pets and children, and wash hands after handling.
